The operator of mobile communication T-Mobile, has announced today the sale release of a new mobile phone - Motorola ROKR E8. The musical mobile phone sales will begin on July, 7th, 2008, the cost of Motorola ROKR E8, under the condition of signing a contract with T-Mobile, will be 200 US dollars ($199.99 - if to be exact).  

  Company Motorola has informed on signing the contract with the Vietnamese operator of mobile communication Vinaphone (belonging to company Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT)) according to which, company Motorola will build a GSM network for the Vinaphone operator in 12 provinces of Vietnam. The sum of the contract is 28 million US dollars.  

  As the vice-president of Nokia, Kai Oistamo has declared at press conference in London, mobile phones based on a uniform Symbian mobile platform with a standardized interface will released, aproximately, in 2010. We shall remind, that the companies Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and NTT DOCOMO on the 10th anniversary day of Symbian have declared the creation of a noncommercial organization Symbian Foundation. The participants have planned to create a common platform with an uniform user interface based on S60, UIQ and MOAP. Kai Oistamo has informed that within two years the new Symbian-platform will be accessible under the open-source license. Also, as he said, the first S60-elements for the unified operational system will be ready in the beginning of 2009. The S60 3rd edition Platform and the Symbian Foundation releases will be reciprocaly compatible.  

The analytical company "Informa Telecoms and Media", has recently published a report accordingly to which, the number of 3G services subscribers in Europe exceeded 100 million. That’s why, the penetration of 3G in Europe is 11.1%. The total number of subscribers in Europe is 910 million.  

  The Nokia Company has announced the sales commencement of the new multimedia mobile phone - Nokia N78. The first multimedia mobile phones Nokia N78 will be able to buy the U.S. residents. The recommended price of Nokia N78, in the U.S., is 560 dollars.  

  The well known source The Boy Genius Report has published preliminary information about the new phone, which is supposedly now being developed in the Motorola Company under the working title Alexander. So far, neither the image nor the full specifications of the device, but the source said that this will be a new flagship model of the Motorola range. It maybe that this will be the last flagship in the company's history, he is seen as "the last line of defense." It is reported that Motorola Alexander will receive a 5 Mp digital camera, maybe even 8 megapixel. Motorola Alexander announcement is expected in October 2008.  

  The Semcblog.wordpress.com blog, which usually is publishing accurate information in general, has reported new details on the Sony Ericsson phone, under the code-name of Linda. It is a Walkman-slider on the A2 platform, with a 3.2 Mp camera and, according to some rumours, the same display as the W760 has. We have to mention that in the Sony Ericsson’s lab, there is another clamshell Walkman - phone, under the code-name Alicia.  

  It's no secret that Palm remains on the flow mainly because of the inexpensive Centro smartphones. Until today, Centro were only available to subscribers of several foreign operators, but the company decided to release the smart phones on the free market. This means, that very soon, it will be possible to buy a GSM-version of Palm Centro at a price of around $ 300. Together with the above stated, the Palm representatives have declared that in the list of standard software will be included such useful tools from Google as Maps and My Location, which allows the user to determine its location and display it on the map. For the operators’ Centro versions, later will be released a special update that will add the Google services.

As writes Silicon.com, thanks to the Indian company Infosys research, the mobile phones will be able to demonstrate 3D-images, movies, games and other content. For example, the portable devices will be able to create a volumetric image of the accident’s place, so that the doctors can remotely support those who provide first aid. The three-dimensional image will be created with the help of a certain number of two-dimensional images. Between two devices, will be transferred a relatively compressed information on precisely these pictures, the device at the other end will create the hologram by itself.

Also, under the administration of Nokia will be forwarded 13 Plazes employees.   The need to install their own Google phone services, is delaying the release of the Android smartphone for such operators as Sprint and China Mobile, has announced today’s Wall Street Journal. It is expected that in these two cases, the phone will be delayed at least until 2009. However, the phone with OS Android, which will be released in the U.S. under the T-Mobile logo, as expected, will appear at the end of 2008. If the Wall Street Journal is true, it can be assumed that the Google smartphone will be released at the end of the year, but not for all the operators. The delayed release of the phones with OS Android for some operators could play as a good card for Apple. Judging from what has recently revealed Google, the functionality of the Android platform is fully capable to compete with iPhone.

However, as the source is mentioning, the phones are likely to survive and then reincarnate on the selected Asian markets, since they are almost ready for production. In this situation, the next official Sony Ericsson Smartphone remains the excellent XPERIA X1, announced at the Mobile Congress in Barcelona.

LG KS360 – a compact device for those who still prefer instead of the touch-screen keyboard / tactile administration, the hardware QWERTY text input method. The novelty works in the GSM / EDGE networks (tri-band), it is equipped with a 2.4 - inch display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, MP3-player, FM-radio, 2 Mp camera, Bluetooth and USB interface. At the moment, the LG KS360 sales began only in Asia, although, shortly, the device may appear in other regions too.
