Motorola dismisses 20% of the staff of one of the main company’s units - the research department. Exactly this department’s staff, at his time, designed a huge number of technological innovations, including, in fact, the mobile phone itself. 120 of the 600 engineers will be laid off and the work of another 180 will be reorganized. On this background, there were unconfirmed rumours that the company postpones the launch of many Motorola phones. In general, since the Congress in Barcelona, no new products were presented, except the ones in "espionage" form. The leaders of the Motorola Company have chosen the plan to separate the mobile phone unit, but some analysts have assumed that the initial difficult financial situation practically ensures a quick financial death of the new separated company.  

  The HP Company has reported that the sales of the first Communicators of the iPAQ 900 Business Messenger series will begin in June 30. These devices are targeted as it is easy to understand from the title, mostly for the business users. The Communicator works under Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and it operates on the second as well as on the third generation networks. The iPAQ 900 series models have the following specs: QVGA-display, 3 - Mp camera, built-in GPS-receiver, support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The HP Company notes that the new communicators will be available worldwide beginning on 30 June (although, in various regions, the date of initiation may vary), their value has not yet been reported.
