Sony Ericsson has presented some new headphones which can suppress extraneous noise by means of the technology borrowed from Sony.   Philips has presented a novelty calculated for those who constantly forget to recharge the phone. The mobile phone Philips Xenium 9@9q (in registration Phantom Black or Chic Red) is capable to work in stan-by about one month, in conversation mode – up to 9 hours, and the MP3-player – can play music up to 22 hours.   Unlike the concepts which do not have any special "meaning", the design of the new phone from MobiFrance is quite recognizable not only for Parisians. MobiFrance has signed an agreement with Sony Ericsson to create a French Luxury (FL) phone concept, executed from the sideway view in the form of Tour d'Eiffel. The FL mobile phone, which has a touchscreen on all the front surface and which release is dated for the France Independence Day, has a 7,2 megapixel digital camera, capable of video recording and playback, and supports a set of others multimedia functions.  

  LG has decided to begin the sales of the KS360 phone model in Europe, whose QWERTY-keyboard is intended for heavy texting. Such devices, not in the last instance due to LG, are quite popular in the USA - apparently, the Korean company plans to bring the tendency in Europe too.   Samsung systematically develops its Duos series of phones: there was some information about a new device - D980, in which the touch screen interface is used.   Lee Kun Hee, ex-chairman of Samsung directors’ board, has been declared guilty of evasion from taxes and he has received a conditional three-year prison sentence and a penalty of $110 million. The prosecutors insisted on a seven-years sentence. Lee, who has retired in April after he had been accused, had apologized: "I apologize that I’ve caused so much troubles to people". In 1996, Lee has already been found guilty of bribery to two ex- presidents of South Korea, he was sentenced to two years of prison conditionally, but has been pardoned by the president Kim Young Sam. The Samsung Company is one of the largest corporations of South Korea, incorporating 18 % of all Korean export.

  The new smartphone, Touch Diamond from HTC causes a quite big interest among the British users - on the British Orange e-shop, all the pieces have been bought. According to Msmobiles.com, Touch Diamond became the sales’ leader of several others the e-shops. According to the same source, HTC plans to sell 4-5 million of HTC Touch Diamond phones which is a quite realistic forecast.  

  In his interview for Connect magazine, the top-manager of HTC, Lars Weisswange (director on the regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland) has stated some curious ideas regarding the usability of the Windows Mobile operational system and its impracticality combined with the modern interfaces with touch input. As he said, the operational system Windows Mobile is not bad for business-users, but it is difficult for ordinary users to work with this OS when it comes to touch screens. For this reason, HTC has develop the TouchFLO interface - including its 3D-version TouchFLO 3D. Weisswange also has declared that the Internet Explorer browser for Windows Mobile is exposed to significant critics. To avoid its users’ disapproval, HTC adds in its products browsers of the other companies - for example, Opera Mobile 9.5.  

  The known manufacturer of lighters, cheap shaving blades and pens BIC, from now on extends his brand under mobile phones too. Together with the mobile operator Orange, the company sells BIC phones which cost 49EUR and is packed with 60 free-of-charge minutes. The device is on sale in orange or bright green colors and offers the base functionality - as well as all BIC products. The phone could be named “one time use”, but the 49 EUR price is a little bit high for this purpose.
