Nokia Company has published the results of its financial performance in the second quarter of 2009.
In the second quarter of this year, Nokia sold 103.2 million mobile phones are 15% lower than in the second quarter of 2008. Net profit of the manufacturer of euro 380 million - 66% less than in the corresponding period last year.

Net sales amounted to 9.9 billion euros, a 25% lower than in the second quarter of last year, but 7% higher than in the previous quarter.
Net sales of Devices & Services division amounted to 6.6 billion euros, which is 28% lower than in the corresponding period last year, but 7% higher than last quarter.

Nokia Company believes that during the second quarter of 2009 the world was sold 268 million mobile phones, which is 12% less than in the second quarter of last year and 5% higher in comparison with the previous quarter.
Nokia sold 103.2 million phones, which is 15% less compared to the same period last year and 11% more than last quarter.
The market share of Nokia is 38%, which is 2% less than last year and 1% more than last quarter.
Average price of a Nokia mobile phone fell from 65 euros to 62 euros.
Nokia accuses the company to reduce its performance worldwide economic crisis and declining consumer activity. As it is known, the global demand for mobile phones fell by 15%.
