In January - September 2009, revenues from the provision of enterprise communication services in Ukraine decreased by 3,8%, compared to the same period in 2008, to 34, 0888 UAH billion. This is stated in the report of the State Statistics Committee. The overall decline in revenues was due to connection loss in revenues from mobile services (4,5%), postal services (by 9,4%), urban (by 14,4%), rural (at 19,1%) and long-distance telephone (by 19,6%).
In I quarter 2009 revenues of enterprises from the provision of telecommunications services in 2008 amounted to 10.5959 billion UAH.
But the operator's revenue from providing Internet access has increased, compared with January-September 2008, at 43,5% to 2, 0688 billion UAH.
In particular, revenues from providing services to the population amounted to 1 138 billion UAH. That on 76,7% higher than in January-September 2008. The share of revenues from the Internet connection, total revenues amounted to 6%.
