Apple Inc. on Sept. 28 announced the sale of two billion applications for the iPhone and iPod touch through the internet-shop App Store. Total world there are about 50 million devices that support such programs.
In the App Store at the end of September, offered 85 thousand programs, and all the desire to develop applications for iPhone OS reported 125 thousand of developers. This makes the App Store's largest store for mobile applications.
Billion downloads mark in the App Store came in April 2009. This store took nine months. Second billion applications, so users have downloaded in just five months. Only for the third quarter were downloaded half a program. Average per day from the App Store is downloaded 6.6 million program.
Store applications for the iPhone and iPod touch was opened in July 2008. Initially, there were 500 programs. For the first month of the owners of the devices on the iPhone OS applications to buy 30 million dollars.
