Sun introduced Java support for the iPhone. The company intends to use the iPhone SDK for the development of Java-machine. IPhone processor supports hardware performance Java Bytecode, so applications written in that language, should work quickly.
Sun’s Vice President of Marketing, Eric Klein said that the company investigated the possibility of adding support for Java through the recently introduced SDK and adopted a positive decision. It will be adapted, as mobile version, Java Micro Edition, and perhaps JavaFX.
"Now iPhone is opened - said Mr. Klein, - free JVM will be available through Apple AppStore. We will do our best to assure that JVM will provide maximum access for Java applications to iPhone’s functions ".
When JVM will be launched for iPhone, is not known yet.
