It’s a big update for the Sony Ericsson portfolio. The company announced the launch of several new mobile phones.
SE G700 and G900 are among those new devices. Both phones are based on the touch screen concept and therefore are equipped with a 2.4” display. They will also feature the touch-screen text input that allows you to directly write with a stylus on the large display as you’d do on a regular piece of paper.
The G700 model is designed to take the organizer option to a new level. Therefore you are allowed to make notes and draw directly on the large display, and then save the To do list on the home-screen. To make the use of the touch screen more comfortable and to skip the menu navigation, the phone is equipped with dedicated keys for messaging and notes. The phone will be launched only in one color - Silk Bronze.
G900 is dedicated to deliver the highest quality in photo shooting thanks to a 5MP camera. As on the previous model, the menu is under control by using the touch screen; but it also has specific applications that are managed the same way, which makes, for instance, the process of editing photos an interactive experience. The other advantage of implementing this technology is using it while taking pictures. By touching the object in the viewfinder you select and index on which items shall the lens focus. This is an imminent tool as sometimes the autofocus may not identify the essential detail of the picture. Among popular connectivity options, 3G and WiFi are supported. The phone will be available in two colors: Dark Red and Dark Brown, and will go on sale in the second quarter 2008, the same time G700 will make its debut.
