At the annual forum Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum company Samsung unveiled two new processors on the architecture of ARM CORTEX-A8 CPU running at 1 GHz.
The first of them - Samsung S5PC110 - designed for multimedia smartphones, and the second processor - Samsung S5PV210 - designed for netbooks. Both processors are based on 45-nanometer manufacturing process, they have 32 kilobytes of cache memory, 512 KB second-level cache and a powerful graphics chipset, which supports three-dimensional graphics.
In addition, the new processors are able to play videos with resolution of 1080p (Full HD) at 30 frames per second.
Samples of Samsung S5PC110 and S5PV210 will be available in December this year.
Samsung did not confine processors and introduced a new 5-megapixel SoC (system-on-chip) sensor, called S5K4EA.
According to representatives, Samsung new sensor must "provide high-end phone capabilities of digital cameras. Samsung S5K4EA able to record video with 1080p resolution at a speed of 30 frames per second, has the support autofocus and image stabilization.
Mass production of Samsung S5K4EA begin in early 2010.
