The mobile phone Motorola A1600 MING 2 has passed the certification of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). We already have mentioned this phone on the previous news: it is equipped with a touch screen and a protective transparent flip cover, no keys.
The technical specs registered by the FCC are a 3.2 MP digital camera and EDGE support for all four GSM frequencies, however, no Wi-Fi is mentioned even if the rumors was saying that the module should be present on Ming 2. Motorola A1600, exactly like his predecessor, works on Linux.
We must remind that the first phone from the Ming series, Motorola A1200, was popular in Asia, but it does not reached a worldwide distribution. Most probable, the new MING will just repeat the same experience, on the user guide is wrote Asia/EMEA.
