In the Symbian’s history is coming an important day – on June 24, 1998, Symbian Ltd. was founded. Its founders became the companies: Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Psion.
Currently there are 1493 employees working in the Symbian Company. The company's co-owners are Nokia (47,9%), Ericsson (15,6%), Sony Ericsson (13,1%) Panasonic (10,5%), Samsung (4,5%) and Siemens (8,4%) .
Since Symbian was founded, 206 million of phones were produced under same name operating system.
To celebrate the anniversary, the Symbian Company has opened a special section on its Web site.
