The GSM Association is quite confident that the broadband mobile Internet will allow to reach 100 Mb/sec earlier than the ground analogues.
"The tests show, that LTE can reach speeds up to 186 Mb/sec ", - has declared Dan Warren, technical director of the GSM Association. "We expect, that such speeds for the first time will be accessible in Japan and South Korea by 2010. According to Arun Sarin (former boss of Vodafone), in Europe, the technology will be possible to expect in 2012 ", - has declared Warren.
However, Warren is in touch with the reality – the mobile networks cannot replace completely the ground communication, however, according to him, the competition between networks will help the progress.
