On October 14, 2009 in Ukraine will change the telephone numbering system - when dialing code will disappear "8". This decision was approved by 29 September 2008 order of the Ministry of Transport and Communication № 1200
Now to make a call to a mobile number, the Ukrainians will have to dial the number in the format "operator code XXX XX XX", not "8 operator code XXX XX XX", as is done now. The same scheme will be applied to national calls to landlines.
In addition, in October to change the order of the set when calling from Ukraine abroad. Instead of 8 10 (country code) (area code) xxx xx xx set will be implemented through: 0 0 (country code) (area code) xxx xx xx.
The only thing that stays the same, this is the procedure for dialing in Ukraine from abroad. As before, the set will be implemented by the scheme: 380 (city code / operator) xxx xx xx.
