China remains the assembly shop for the mobile industry - according to CCID Consulting, the mobile phone manufacturing in the country, will exceed 605 million pieces till the end of 2008. Under Strategy Analytics’ forecasts, which, in general coincide with the main market participants vision, in 2008 it will be produced 1,28 billion phones.
As it’s easy to count, in China it will be made a little less than half of all phones of the planet. It is interesting, that from 605 million of phones, 66 % (400 million) will go on export, 205 million will be sold on the local market.
65 % of phones which are made in China, are created for "the big five" mobile manufacturers - Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and LG.
